Super Talent have now upgraded their 1TB SSD for about 5000 US-dollar to a SSD containing 2TB. I can't really imagine the price will be lower than 6000 US-dollar.
Man, I really look forward to when the SSD gets cheaper, that will be awesome, although it'll probably take some time!

i think its safe to assume that ssd's will be first marketed as "os drives"
where ud have to buy hdd's for storage

But prices have been going down pretty fast with Intel pushing and all

Still, was looking at ssd prices (to install my Windows 7 ) just the other day and a 32 gig one costs as much as 2 Sata 500 GB...

Plus the mounting brackets to fit it in a 3.5 bay...

I think there is still a long way to go until they are used. Its the same as DDR3, DDS2 is getting so cheap that I think DDR3 will only be the main thing when DDR2 is no longer in stocks worldwide.
DS : No worries. I've just tried to burn then microwave then shred my wow invite.

its another thing with memory
Maybe u still have lots of inventory in pt still

But here ddr2 costs as much as ddr3 if not more

It was the same with ddr ->ddr2 after some time, ddr was more expensive than ddr2

THis time around it happened faster (at least it feels that way)

I wanted to upgrade ram but prices not only havent declined they actually went up (talking low end stuff)

ex.: CORSAIR 4GB Kit (2 x 2GB) 800Mhz DDR2 5-5-5-18 Mainstream XMS2 TWIN2X4096-6400C5C
went from 49 to 69 in 6 months or so
