If you are looking for a new AV program this guide might help you get an idea of wich is good and at what areas they are best at. It also shows the interface and at wich settings they where tested.

Yeah, thats true cause:

1. I wont be able to use it
2. Most games I use dont support Linux
3. It would be a nice boat anchor!

Ok, so I also use windows....(OMG)

On my gaming machine (the PS4 posted somewhere in the forum and some pics in my gallery ( www.luisantunes.pt/en/galeria/?g2_itemId=5398 )I don't have anything virus related stuff, takes up frames and loading speeds, and is very noticeable.

On my xp laptop with a 5 year old install, I use Norton corporate 10 (OOOLLLLLD) but works and doesn't hog the machine, but then again, I only use my laptop (where I'm writing now) to manage my unixes and surf the web on known harmless sites whith chrome and ff.

For download testing, torrentz/emule and virus isolations and other weird stuff I do, I use disposable virtual machines.

The main work mule at home, uses fedora.

I friend of mine uses some application that allows him to have "shadow mode" basically sandboxes the machine so any changes he makes are destory on shutdown (if I remember correctly of course

Also you win7s xp mode with undo disk enabled if I feel like a site I got from a google could be a bit of a baddie

Also, alot of people never delete their temp files. Which can cause the computer to majorly slow down its bootup time and speed.

Those can normally be found...

C/users/username/appdata/local/temp/

Delete everything in there. (Sometimes 1-2 files cant be removed, dont worry)

Also, your windows temp found...

C/windows/temp/

Delete those too.

Once deleted, run a smooth anti-virus scan.
Once scanned, restart your machine, the bootup time speed is noticable different.

Anddd....
Having a very clean computer effects your bootup speed.
Mine is dusty at the moment (the heat sinque etc) so its noisy and abit slow, eventually when I clean it, it'll be silent and fast again.

^^ hope it helps.
