And a full Lisbon shot, on the top right is the São Jorge's Castle and several other monuments. Lisbon itself is a monument like most european old cities

PS.:, if you click on the picture, you'll see the full resolution, don't blame me on the last one, its out of focus, crappy wind and 5º don't really mix when you are trying to focus distant objects with wide open aperture.

I don't consider them my best photos, as the larger one is out of focus, the other without the moon has a frame shaken due to the camera exposure, I find their defects, some are easy to spot, some don't

Surf the rest of the gallery and the album HDR, there are there a few cool ones too.

I have a Sony Alpha 350 with a fuckshit package lens 18-70mm stinking more than a cow fresh crap, they are really crappy lens, around 40€ ( ), luckily will get soon some new sigma 17-70mm for 330€ which is a very good deal, plus a duplicator (2x zoom factor in any lens at the cost of aperture).

Also I use a special tripod head to shoot panoramas, its a manfrotto 303sph vr head, on top of a manfrotto carbon fiber

The stich is made in Hugin/Linux, the HDR photos are tonemaped in GIMP and pfstools, all Linux apps, conversions from raw (arw) to exr or tif, chromatic aberration correction are all batches in Linux command line.

I also have one autorotator/camera shooter robotized head for doing the 360 rotation and shooting the camera, but I have used it only once on this www.luisantunes.pt/belem360_out.swf

The rest is just lots of patience...

BTW, use the mouse wheel to zoom and left click to rotate the 360º

The monument is Torre de Belém (Belem Tower, a defensive fortification for the Tagus River Estuary), I'm doing it in Minecraft by hand and few minor tedious edits in nbtedit.
