I'm sure most of you by now have seen the new server status things on the twkgaming.com, and also on the MOTD(twkgaming.com/motd/motd.php) on the servers.

I have had an idea to make them into a forum signature. That update every 15 minutes or what ever.
Similar to :
www.gametracker.com/server_info/81.19.209.200:27030/

But in a similar style to ours currently on the homepage

After 5 minutes at looking at this it is a fairly large piece of work in a language I'm not knowledgeable of (php).

So I'm basically asking if I spent time on it would anyone use it, for other forums? (as a Site we gain most from them been on other sites )

You should be able to put polls up now - it seems its a category based setting. However, they are quite new to Kunena and might be a little buggy and also possibly only on new topics.

The hlstats does a similar signature - perhaps that could be used as a start also?

Another thought would be to use JomSocial and to create some custom fields that can be filled in under the users own profile area.

We could have a 'My gamer' card section with 'favourite server', 'username', etc.

If it was affiliated to us I would suggest we only allow trusted members to use it as could fill in anything, or maybe make the fields drop down menus with specific set text.

Perhaps similar HLStats code could grab the field data from the JS fields.

I'm sure you have all seen the HLstats Sigs before.

Ok so there nice but what if I said to you we NEED you to improve them??? (this is in addition to me making the server status type ones)

Basically we could make them a little more twk. How about we turn this into a competition while I fail to make the other ones? What does everyone think?
