Swaar Metaal means Heavy Metal in Afrikaans, wich is also the language they sing in.
I saw them live the second day of MCF 2008 and love them.
The singer thanked Alice Cooper for opening for them and apologized that the audience had to wait so long for them to get on stage. (Cooper was the last artist the day before and Kobus! opened the day after )

It depends on the ears i think, mind you Deep Purple were heavy metal when they started... at least for the ppl at the time, now best rock band ever.
