The graphic was never Assassin's Creeds downfall...you just did the same thing over and over and over and over and over etc.. The gameplay killed the story
If they fix that, they could use the old engine and have a wonderful game!

Games im looking forward to are Starcraft 2 ( for the story mainly), Diablo 3 and Earth Rise..
Most of my current game time goes to Drakensang, lovly story and graphics!

i dont see ANY mmo outliving the one blizzard made. Diablo1 servers are still running....

Any game that has a level cap has limited lifetime cause its hard to expand with extra features. Wow only gets new instances with new gear...
I think EVE will outlive most MMOs since its easy to expand, its player driven and new content and expansions are free and thats what people like.

Earth rise looks like it will be like EVE but on a planet..

But what I miss in MMO's are multi choice quests with diffrent endings etc. And Situations solved thru dialog if you are skilled enough. Take WOW for example, every character is made to do dmg, not a single thing uses the rogues ability to sneak to solve something. You can only pickpocket monsters, not NPCs and players...

Looking forward to Assassin's Creed II - also Uncharted II:Amongst Thieves is looking fairly tasty.

Personally I'm holding out for Duke Nukem - Attack of the Zergs!
