Well, yesterday google celebrated the 25th aniversary of the world famous tetris game, believe it or not, I found people not knowing about the game.. I simply asked the hell they were living... ofc

The wikipedia article 2e98i4td

and the offcial site 2e98i4td

and a fun creation
[youtube:2e98i4td][/youtube:2e98i4td]

memories of school times

also was a complete geek on this

And all of these powered by the allmighty Zilog Z80
The wiki on the proc for the ones who are less than 20years old (n00bz)
2e98i4td

and, speaking of Z80, the allmighy and most well known to people implementation of it

Used to be hooked to it, the most genial game ever invented. By far the most simple, amazing and creative game EVER. It just shows you dont need fancy graphics and movie sequences to make a game the best there is.

Long live Tetris!
DS : No worries. I've just tried to burn then microwave then shred my wow invite.

I fail to see where Duke Nukem and Diablo are "Simple and creative"....

Unless you consider dozen spells, huge amount of items that add or change characteristics and skills and map memorizing simple...

As for "Creative" well, lets just say the ideas had been there since I played RPG's (not the computer ones, the actual paper and dice ones)

yeah... memories of rolling handfull of dice... geeezzz, a freaking 10 second fight took about 2 hours to deal... add a few more for "other" activities.. a regular 30 minutes RPG took about a hole day of 10 playing hours.

Those were the days!

yeah people <25 years of age, most or all of what we play today on a computer with high end graphics and effects, were most of them, including scenarios and storylines, born on lots of RPG games played by the time.

Tetris is just... it.. tetris FTW
