Ok,

Most of you know that when both Ami and I play we suffer problems. The problems are worse when we are on the same server but occur on seperate servers.

Yet, the router we have, a DLink DIR-655 is damn good and the QOS is second to none. Whereas before when I was playing most things would lag me, now nothing bar skype makes any odds. Check out these reviews...

So what routers does everyone else have/use that would be good enough for the virgin 20meg service as I\'m likely to have no hair soon.

Had a good chat to shocks today and have some possibilities to try

The router is fairly decent according to shocks - so have some things to check (homework!).

First, the lead (our looooong one) could be causing some issues.

Secondly, there seems to be a blocked UDP from our servers which is happening soo frequently that it may be causing a cpu overload on the router - need to stop this being blocked/logged.

Third, have turned off something called dynamic fragmentation.

Fourth, need to update the network card drivers for the PC\'s.

Fifth, need to try it with different PC\'s - might be one PC causing an overload - something installed for example.

Will get there eventually
