For those of you that have problems with this games multiplayer that others in the community might be able to help or just if you want to know if anyone else has this problems. I'll try and keep this updated.

Most of us have problems with connecting to EA for example.
Solutions for this that I have read are:
1) Try to relogin, if you cant even login the EA server is prob down.
2) Uninstall the beta.

Punkbuster problems? Try visit www.evenbalance.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and update to the right version. Sometimes it doesnt do that ingame.

Hidden features:
1) Erased friendlist: Friends are for peacetime, this is war!
2) Disconnected from EA: Enjoy the R&R!
3) Server History not working properly: Learn the names of your battles so you dont get lost!

After the EA breakdown today (Sunday), Im getting punkbuster failure. Not just on our server but on every server I tried so far. I have tried to update PB, I have tried to uninstall/reinstall the game and PB but it still happens 10 sec into the game. Anyone have any idea what the issue might be?

EDIT: I tried to submit a report to PB support but it was also down...

Had this today on another server but not on ours.

Also updated PB but no luck on the others.

I could connect to ours in the afternoon. Havent tried it now...

updating PB worked for me until i quit and reloaded game again,

Error only happens 50% of the time, very annoying as it still takes a while to find a decent server for me!

Fingers crossed EA sort this out! whose fault is it? EA or PB??

Well, PB gave me trouble, but I know pb well, just go to the site www.evenbalance.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; , click bf:bc2 and dl the pbsetup utilitty and keep it on a desktop folder, run it, select the game and update.

Sometimes pb does not updates ingame, or gives stupid messages, this way solves the thing

1 hour ago I tried around 20 times to join EA with no luck, prolly quite a busy time.

Hope this login thingie get sorted soon (more windows servers.. windows ownz.. really) (NOT).

Founf (or luck) exiting the game and reloading gave a login... but wayyyy toooo slooooooowwwww to list servers, history and favs are still dead.

Also, use UAV on your own risk, the game crashes very often when you try to use it

works fine with me (about the only thing in the game that seems to run smoothly!) - just gets shot down alot or shot when im using it.

Found another feature in BC2! The magical wipe of the friendlist. Had been away from the game for 4 days playing DoW2 and DoW2 CR and when I got back I had a friend request. I accapted and was taken to my friendlist and it showed I had 1 friend. All my previous friends had been wiped from the list...

Whilst this thread is ongoing I'll add a few things in to be aware of..

Long loading for some of us ...

Appears to be related to ATI cards only and not DICE's fault - now there's a first. They (ATI) are working on a driver upgrade to fix this. You can, for the moment, force directx9 mode. It's not so pretty in places but it does speed up the load time into each map.

Goto C:\Users\<username>\Documents\BFBC2

...open settings.ini and swap DxVersion=auto to DxVersion=9

Don't forget to put back when new driver available.

Also broken atm - DICE are aware and working on something. At the moment, we have two reserved temporarily because you have to reserve one physical slot per person, and even then, the reserved players don't join these slots so they remain completely unusable.

Once fixed, we will be having reserved slots for donators.

I got the M1 rifle now, finally (it was really 3 or 4 days ago), the iron sight is crap, but should be good with a red dot sight.

And for those who don't know, the number in the white box left of some of the nick names on the score-list, it only shows how many Battlefield games you own (Excluding Battlefield Heroes which is basically free...in some ways).
