As usual, I was playing on our surf server, when I noticed in the chat box telling me to type !radioon to listen to the TWK radio.
I was all like 'ZOMG WE HAZ RADIO?' so I typed !radioon. It came up with a blank box.
HOWEVER.
People then proceeded to type !radioon and attempt to listen to the radio, and failed.

SO.
1: Did we ever have a radio station?
2: Are we going to get it running again?
3: If so, can I DJ?

We had source radio which pointed towards some generic radios that were able to run in game in the browser.

Probably like a few things (!) OB broke it.

However, I've always really fancied the idea of TWKgaming radio ....

Any ideas anyone ?

I got metal, rock, dubstep and a little RnB. But we need to actually set the station up first. Use a tab on this site as the stream and then connect it to the servers like that? Or will we need a separate site all together?

A internet radio will need diffrent things depending on how we want it.
If we want a radio that just plays songs we only need space to store the music and some form of musicplayer all can tune into.

But if we want it to have DJs/radio hosts at certain times during the week and music playing when no host is available, we need software and space for the music that will play when no dj is on.

That's really helpful.
I suggest anyone who's interested in helping set up or DJing has a look at that website. Does anyone have a spare computer, or is willing to leave their computer on 24/7 for the station, otherwise we need to use another website which will provide us with one. We're probably going to be streaming, not pod-casting, therefore we'll need a fill-in set of tracks. I'm suggesting rock and some other popular stuff, e.g. Lonley Island, Pendulum, and stuff which CSS players seem to like.

As for a mixer and software, there doesn't really appear to be a cost free option.

I have played 2 games wich had fan based internet radios with the Djs standing in the game taking requests and so on. Its a good way to get ppl together and for sharing music styles and tips. I found a lot of new music that way.

The trick is to find a user friendly DJ software with good quality that doesnt cost too much. Sadly I dont remember what they used when I played those games as I dont have the links left. The DJ needs a good mic aswell and spare time, and large enough music library, to be able to put on a 1-4 hour show.
