you'll prolly have to play with a few graphical effects off...

Usually developers don't develop games for laptops.

Hey guys, back again for some advice.

The new macBook Pro stock technical spec just went up, I was going to get the upgraded 2.93Ghz dual core processor for the original, but the stock model now comes with a 2.8Ghz dual core. Is it worth upgrading from 2.8Ghz to the new higher spec 3.06Ghz dual core processor for £240.01 when I was happy to buy a 2.93?

Basically will the upgrade be all that noticable?

Bearing in mind that the processor is one of the most difficult things to upgrade once you've received the machine and this laptop will be the last laptop I buy for a LONG time.

Thanks!

I have an idea that macbooks as well as most laptops don't really upgrade their cpu, most of them is directly soldered to the mobo.

if it noticeable or not... most people won't notice. lets say an image that took 60secs to apply a complex filter will take about 50secs with the new cpu.

4,5% clock improvement wont give u 20% performance -.-

no its not worth the investment.
