This is a really good idea, as ppl tend to join the winning team alot. and yes, its very possible, but then again, this is a plugin, and if im not mistaken, these plugins is the reason for the server to crash, so is it such a brilliant idea after all?

I really think an admin team switch would be a good idea. People often leave the server due to teams being really onesided and people constant joining the winning team. If an admin is playing and see's a certain individual team stacking and swapping to the winning team alot, the admin imo should swap them back.
Or be able to swap themselves over to even things up to save any squabbling about being team changed (without having to be dead or killing yourself mid round to do it of course).

The auto assign I feel would also help to a degree, but what will happen is people who want to join the winning team will leave their team and join spec for a while until teams are rebalanced in their favor so they would can once again join the winning team. It would be harder for them to get into the team they want but they would still do it, as they tend to take this action now too.

To be honest i use to join the winning team wen i first started to play online only because i always die as i only just started with the races and everyone else had loads of races and mainly cause i always died in spawn also i never had any money to buy xp and never got any kills so i only joined the winning team so i an get some money to get the xp and also got a chance to get a kill..so i dont blame people for doing it but its not fair for one team to have all the good players...

I always Auto-assign anyways
